Who holds the record for hitting the longest six in IPL? – Amazon Quiz Answer

Question: Who holds the record for hitting the longest six in IPL?

Answer: Albie Morkal

Morkel. He hit a massive six that traveled 125 meters (410 feet) during the IPL 2008 season while playing for the Chennai Super Kings against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The six was hit off the bowling of Praveen Kumar and cleared the roof of the stadium before landing on the road outside the stadium. It was a spectacular hit and is still considered one of the most memorable moments in IPL history.

Since then, many big hitters such as Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, and MS Dhoni have come close to breaking this record, but none have been able to hit a six that travels as far as Albie Morkel’s record-breaking hit in IPL 2008.
